»CMYK SPIKE 17« is an artist’s edition by German artist Michael Riedel (*1972, Germany), produced in collaboration with Spike. Michael Riedel had 50 copies of issue #17 printed in cyan, magenta, yellow and black. This is his second piece of this variety, the first being a collaboration with frieze art magazine. Riedel includes in his work all the things that are normally secondary in the artistic field in relation to the work: announcements such as posters and invitation cards, talking and writing about art, or the situation in which art is experienced.

Solo exhibitions of his work have taken place at Gabriele Senn Galerie, Vienna (2022), Museum Haus Konstruktiv, Zürich (2021), Museum der bildenden Künste, Leipzig (2019), Michel Rein Gallery, Paris (2018), David Zwirner (2016), Fotomuseum Winterthur (2016), and elsewhere. Michael Riedel lives in Frankfurt.
