In his works Liam Gillick (*1964, England) refers to the conditions of modern live, to theory and critique. Struck! can be understood equally as a statement about the status quo of the labour struggle. 

Recent solo shows include »The Work Life Effect«, Gwangju Museum of Art, Gwangju, Korea (2021); »Standing on Top of a Building: Films 2008–2019«, MADRE–Museo d’Arte, Kunsthalle Wien (2019), and Gallery Baton, Seoul (2018). He lives in New York.
